Named after the Danube River, which is the second-longest river in all of Europe, this authentic Danube crossbody transitions seamlessly from day to night. The exterior is rendered in Louis Vuitton's iconic Monogram canvas, accented with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold-tone brass hardware. The Monogram print was first introduced in the year 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the print was created to stop counterfeiters from copying the brands designs. The repeated pattern is made up of interlocking L and V initials in a serif font, and flowers inspired by Japanese and Oriental designs.
