At a point in time, Louis Vuitton allowed select boutique clients to customize their bags, pairing silhouettes and fabrications never widely produced together. High demand for the subtly distinct checkerboard Damier Ebene print resulted in special order requests, creating iconic and rare combinations that are no longer available today.
