What originated as the "Turn-O-Graph" watch from the iconic Datejust collection was nicknamed the "Thunderbird" in 1953 after the US Air Force Thunderbirds Squadron requested the watches due to the beneficial rotating timing bezel. The Turn-O-Graph, or Thunderbird, features automatic movement, stainless steel 36mm Oyster case with a bi-directional rotating 18 karat white gold graduated bezel, scratch resistant genuine sapphire crystal, a silver Tapestry dial with index hour markers and a magnified Cyclops date window, finished with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet and deployment clasp.
