Created in the late '80s, the Louis Vuitton Babylone tote is a classic piece rendered in the brand's signature Monogram coated canvas, trimmed with natural Vachetta leather and accented with gold-tone brass hardware. The Monogram print was first introduced in the year 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the print was created to stop counterfeiters from copying the brands designs. The repeated pattern is made up of interlocking L and V initials in a serif font, and flowers inspired by Japanese and Oriental designs.
